Amyloid proteins and catalytic amyloids

We are interested in deciphering the fibrillation processes of amyloid peptides and their relationship with disease. In particular, we study the effect of membranes upon fibrillation processes of varied pathogenic and functional amyloidogenic proteins. We have also explored interactions of nanoparticles with amyloid proteins, and the contributions of protein/protein interactions to amyloid fibril formation and amyloid toxicity.
